Obituary of Douglas Morgan Winsor

Please share a memory of Douglas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Doug was born in Brandon, Manitoba on September 6, 1945 to Grace and Elton Winsor.  Doug attended the College of Agriculture in Saskatoon graduating in 1968 with a Degree in Agriculture. While still farming, Doug started teaching courses for the Saskatchewan Department of Agriculture.  He moved to Regina in 1981 where he continued to work as an Agrologist with the Department until his retirement in 2005.  Doug is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol (Cooper); his daughters Tanya and Paula, son Ken; siblings Richard (Deborah), Kandace and Dallis and their families.  At Doug's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Doug had a deep love  for Northern Saskatchewan. He and Carol had a cabin at Missinipe for 25 years and spent many a happy day with friends and family. This was Doug's "happy place" and where he has asked that his ashes be dispersed.  A sincere thank you to Dr. Chal Chal, Nurse John and their co-workers at the Alan Blair Cancer Clinic and Unit 3B at the Pasqua Hospital.  Those so wishing to make donations in Doug’s memory may do so to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.   Online messages of condolence maybe left at www.paragonfuneralservices.com
