Doug has gone to his heavenly home where he suffers not. He was a kind, gentle, good man who asked for nothing yet gave so much. He was well read and knowledgeable about many topics; a man of wit, charm and intelligence. A conversation with him was always enlightening and interesting. I feel so blessed to have known him, to have learned from him, and to have been able to share a bit of this life on earth with him. He will be always loved and deeply missed. Rest peacefully, dear Doug.

The trees planted in his memory will be a fitting tribute to his life of growing and nurturing the world he loved in Saskatchewan. He is now resting in peace under God's care.
