Obituary of Annabelle Mae Kaukinen

The family of Annabelle Mae Kaukinen is deeply saddened of Annabelle's passing on April 12, 2019 at the age of 80 years. She was born on December 15, 1938 in Wapella, SK, the first of two children and raised in the community of “New Finland” located in southeastern Saskatchewan.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Annabelle will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and sister-in-law, and will be dearly missed. Annabelle lived and worked in Regina, SK and despite the difficult conditions due to her handicap led a full and successful life. She inspired those of us who knew her through her hard work, caring and resilience. Annabelle is survived by her mother Alice Godwin; sister-in law Leone (Brian) Kaukinen; two nephews Kelvin (Donna) Kaukinen, Steven (Anne) Kaukinen and 6 grand nieces and nephews Dominik, Karli, Josef, Tomas, Carter and Kaley. She was predeceased by her brother Brian Kaukinen, her father Wilhand Kaukinen and stepfather Charlie Godwin. Annabelle never forgot a birthday or special holiday and enjoyed family gatherings, many of which were at Round Lake, SK. She loved to travel and we appreciated hearing about her adventures. She loved to spend time with the Lord and read her Bible. Her small Bible study group became her family and her church over the last 17 years. The Kaukinen Family wish to thank Annabelle's many friends for their thoughtfulness and caring. We also thank Annabelle’s care-givers for their special help and attention which was greatly appreciated. Annabelle’s Life will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly, 3200 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annabelle's memory to Mission Partner's International and Cal Bombay Ministries.
