Obituary of Shirley Jean Badley

Please share a memory of Shirley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Shirley Jean Badley. Shirley passed away in Regina, SK on Friday March 29, 2019 at the age of 81. Shirley will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her three sons Kelly (Leslie), Mark (Karen) and Byron (Marianne); her Grandchildren Crystal (Shannon), Ashlynn (Matt), Alex (Travis), Jordan and Kaitlyn; her Great-Grandchildren Grady, Sage, Navy-Rose, Willamina, Carver, Annsley, Cabe and Remi Jean. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Hazel Boustead; older brother Frank (Marion), whom she looked up to and missed greatly, as well as her loving husband Desmond (Des) of 57 years. Shirley grew up in the small farming town of Sintaluta, SK. From there she moved to Regina to take and pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. Shirley was passionate about her career and always enjoyed her reunions with all of her nursing friends, colleagues and classmates. Shirley then met Des, and were married in the fall of 1961. Together they built their forever home in Pense, SK where they raised their 3 handsome but rowdy boys. Shirley’s boys meant the world to her. The family spent many summers at their cabin at Buffalo Pound. Shirley also loved gardening, canning, curling, visiting over a cup of coffee and spending time with each of her grandkids. She was a wonderful Grandma!!! Shirley’s family will be hosting a Celebration to honour the life of Shirley and her husband Des from 1–4 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Pense Community Hall.
