ORBAN, Leslie Vincent

Leslie Vincent Orban, 85, of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 28, 2018. Leslie was born in Arbury, SK to Frank and Anne Orban on September 22, 1932. He took over the family farm in 1959 and farmed until 1974 when he and his family moved into Punnichy, SK and took over Benko's General Store. Leslie went on to run several other businesses including a garage and pool hall.  He was also the Mayor of Punnichy for 9 years and served on many boards and community associations. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, being with family and touring around.  Everyone knew Leslie! He was always quick with a joke or funny story. Leslie was predeceased by his parents and siblings. Leslie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elsie, his children Laura (Art) Wells, Randy (Kelly) Orban, Darlene (Trent) Senft and niece (raised as his daughter) Sandra (Don) Luthi. Grandchildren Nicolas and Jessica Wideman; Jenna, Kelsey, and Paul Orban; Terriann and Bailey Senft; Alisha and Colin Luthi and great granddaughter Abigayle Wideman. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to staff at Pasqua Hospital who took such good care of Dad. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018 at St. James R.C. Church, Southey, SK. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
