Leslie was definitely a joker who made people laugh. His smile was infectious & his stories were always full of character & surprises.
A memory:
At my dad's (John Orban) 80th Birthday we asked if anyone had any stories to share. Leslie's quote was: One evening I fired a gun shot into the air trying to spook away the howling coyotes. Only to later find out he actually "Shot the dog." He thought 30 plus years was enough time to confess what really happened to John's dog that disappeared. That was the best story that got the whole room laughing hysterically. My kids still use his punch line till this day.
He was a faithful, kind man who was there for my parents when it really counted. We were so grateful.
Our deepest Sympathy Elsie & to all your family.

My deepest sympathy to the family.
I have many vivid memories of Leslie during my time in Arbury. His smile and quit wit come to mind as well as his energetic personality. He reminded of a cat on a hot tin roof, always jumping around.
Leslie, was one of a kind and there will never be anyone like him. I will carry the found memories of him for the rest of my life.

My Sincere Condolences to Leslie's family. As a child I didn't know your dads' real name all I knew him by was Sassikinuk (rendered fat) (cracklings) i think cause of his laugh that crackled, not sure tho. It wasn't until my teens I learned his real name. I ran into him at a parade at Fort QuAppelle a few years ago he knew me by name ( not many do, they confuse me with my sister - not him) Debbie one of Porky & Marys' big tribe lol. He then proceeded to inquire about those he knew from back home Gordons, I must say the list was long. Your dad was very popular & loved by everyone may he rest in peace and comfortable travel home to the Spirit world.
Deb.
