We were neighbours with Grant for almost 10 years and from the moment we moved onto the Bay, we noticed the love and care Grant gave to his family and home. He was such an inspiration to us all on a daily basis and also during his cancer journey. The big pile of snow in the middle of the bay was also a winter highlight for our boys. You are greatly missed Grant.

Grant was a great neighbour, and we appreciated not only his clearing the Bay of snow with his brothers bobcat but also how he made a mountain of snow in the middle for the kids. They had hours of fun playing there!

We are so lucky to have had Grant for a neighbour for 32 years. He kept an eye on his neighbours and helped out without being asked, like when someone was trying to break into our house, or when Dave’s friend locked herself out of our house. We enjoyed our many visits with him when he would fill us in on what was happening in the Bay, including in our house! He bore his illness with determination and stoicism, such a role model for others who were struggling with health issues. We will miss him!

For over 23 years, we were incredibly fortunate to have Grant, Cindy, and Lyndsie Wilson as our trusted neighbors and friends. Grant was the heart of our community—always hard-working and ready to lend a hand. Whether helping us during one of our home floods, keeping an eye on our place when we were away, or using his bobcat to build a snow hill every winter for our kids to play on, he was a constant source of support. He took the time to trim weeds along our shared bay, freshen up the light post, join in our O'Brien Bay neighbour summer barbecue and do countless other thoughtful things that made our neighborhood feel cared for. His lawn and yard were always exceptionally well maintained!
One especially cold winter night, he even walked over late to let me know I’d left my car lights on, sparing me from a dead battery the next morning. This was just who Grant was—a wonderful, friendly, and caring person whose quiet acts of kindness touched us all. We’ll miss him deeply, but his legacy of kindness will remain with us always.

We always enjoyed our chats with Uncle Grant on the deck & the pride he took in their gorgeous yard. Remember that tears can heal, that memory can comfort, and that love lives on forever.

I met Grant at numerous school events and activities. His warm personality made conversation relaxed and effortless. Grant’s gentle chiding and teasing, directed mostly at Lyndsie of course, showed his profound love for her. She was his princess, the apple of his eye.
I remember thinking, “This man REALLY loves his family!” Don’t ever forget that Lyndsie!

I will always remember spending many weekends with Uncle Grant, Auntie Cindy, and Lyndsie. Some of my best memories were Easter’s spent with the Wilson’s in Regina. Uncle Grant was always quiet, warm, and welcoming. As we got older, us kids enjoyed watching the friendship between our parents and Grant & Cindy. They were usually laughing at something we didn’t understand or some inside joke from years ago. Uncle Grant is very missed and holds a special place in all of our hearts.

We have been neighbors with Grant for 27 years. We loved that he would bring the bobcat in the winter and clear our bay and also build a snow pile for the kids to play on. That was such a highlight when our kids were younger. Grant was an easy-going and friendly neighbor with a perfect lawn! He was always willing to give help when needed. When our basement flooded he came over to help and also kept an eye out on our place when we were away.
He was a trusted neighbor and easy to chat with. We shared a love of Disney with the Wilsons and even ran into them in Disneyland without even planning. We will miss you Grant!

Loved the Baracuda Grant had. Cindy, Rhonda Hudgin and myself took it for a ride on day. Unfortunately the door wouldn’t latch and I almost fell out. Besides his loving wife Cindy and daughter Lynsdie that was Grant’s pride and joy❤️❤️. You were a great man and will be truly missed!!

Words cannot explain the sorrow and pain in our hearts on losing such a good man, great friend and extended family member. He will be missed by so many. We have such good memories of our 40 plus years of friendship. Trips South, many, many and many camping trips, such good times at the cottage (the canasta games were the best) and the Christmases spent together.
Our deepest condolences to the entire Wilson Family, so sorry for your (our) loss.

I will never forget the Christmas eve when we left to go home and had car troubles. We turned around and came back. I was tired and you took me into your and aunty Cindy's bedroom and you tucked me in your bed and turned on some cartoons for me to fall asleep too. Made me feel like I was at home in my own bed. Love you forever.
