Louise and I met in 2007 as I was preparing to set up my farm. Since then Louise ( and Ernie) became great neighbours. I even stayed with them for a few months waiting for the road to be build, my house trailer moved in and the Utilities in place. We played lots of cards and they told many stories of their lives. They shared their food , their home, their knowledge and support through the ups and downs of life and creating my dream of a riding school in a Saskatchewan. Louise was a good listener when I needed an ear.
Louise enjoyed the horse visits when I brought my horses in training over. She always had treats for them. Louise was our go to to babysit our pups Nala and Zoey if we went away. The dogs adored her.
When my now partner VJ joined me, we invited them to our wedding and they came enjoying visiting with our friends and dancing to the country band’s music.
VJ and I invited Louise and Ernie for dinners and visa versa. After a good meal we chatted and played cards. Often we got to meet her cute great grands as you see below. Louise shared her garden bounty with us. She invited us to pick from her raspberries bushes each year which was a treat despite the mosquitoes.
We were blessed to have Louise and Ernie as our friends and neighbours . We miss them both!!
