Uncle Herb, Garnet & Ulla and family,
We are deeply saddened at the incredible loss of Roland’s passing, and send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to you all at this difficult time. We have many fond memories of our families both living on McCaul Crescent during the 60’s and 70’s, playing board games and race cars in the basement, baseball in the empty lot and attending the boys’ games, listening to The Beatles and rock music, eating Aunt Erna’s delicious chocolate cake, and many fun family gatherings at Christmas and birthdays!
We wish you strength and peace in the days ahead, knowing Roland is now free from the pain he endured for so many years. We will miss his quiet nature and dry sense of humour!
Love - Lil Hauser, Marla & John, Janet & Ron and families

Uncle Herb, Garnet, Ulla and Family,
I remember a time when I was just out of high school living in Saskatoon with some girl friends. Rollie came to stay with us for a few weeks while working, I believe road construction? We were so impressed by his healthy eating habits. (First time we saw Ovaltine). He of course was quiet but his sense of humour came through when you weren’t expecting it.
Our deepest condolences. We hope knowing that Roland’s struggles are over, will provide some comfort at this very sad time.
Love Candice and Phil

My deepest condolences to Roland’s family. Roland was a friend and a part of a group of friends with strong bonds. When I think of old times I hear his laugh. I will remember how we laughed so much in our crazy youth in Regina and his friendship when we both lived in Calgary. How awful it was for him to have suffered with so much pain. May his spirit fly free and unencumbered.

Dear Schienbein family. I am in utter shock to hear of Rolands passing and want to pass on my deepest condolences to the family.
Roland and I went to Thom Collegiate and we had a great group of friends throughout high school. There were so so many great memories of our time together. Probably one of my favourites was cruising around in his little Toyota, speakers blaring. All the laughter we had will stay with me forever.
I spoke with him a number of years ago where he mentioned his back injury, wishing there would have been a glimmer of healing and hope for him. May he rest in peace and comfort. Bless his soul ❤️
