Obituary of Grant Douglas Nicurity
It is with great sadness that the family of Grant Douglas Nicurity announce his passing on February 3, 2023 at the age of 68. He is survived by his two handsome sons, Justin and Jordan Nicurity, as well as his beloved siblings Bryan Nicurity, Dan Nicurity, Jeff Hall, Blair Hall and Christine Fairman.
A lifelong resident of the Queen City, Grant enjoyed his career spent serving the citizens of Saskatchewan as a valued member of the Regina Fire Department. His service to the city continued in retirement, notably in his work with Mobile Crisis Services and Regina Minor Football.
Grant’s life was a saga that was lived in accordance with his dedication to empathy, kindness, care, and comradeship. Grant had a wonderful gift and unbreakable habit of talking to strangers and turning them into friends. He truly valued the close relationships that he built during his life.
Too numerous to recount here, his life’s joys, accomplishments and honours are a testament to his love and courage.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that those who knew him reflect on the brevity of life, and take a moment in his honour to let their loved ones know that they are precious. Donations in his name can be sent to Regina Mobile Crisis Services.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Dr., Regina, SK. Mirroring his life, stories will be swapped, tears will be shed and laughter will be shared.
Grant’s family and friends would like to pass on their condolences to all of those who were never lucky enough to know Grant. You really missed out.
Celebration of Life
In Loving Memory
