Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mr Braun. There is no question that he had a significant impact on me as a student and later as an educator. First, he got me through my Grade 9 math with his excellent instruction and patience. His name inevitably comes up with former schoolmates when we reminisce about the teacher we most admired and respected. Secondly, many years later he hired me to teach high school business education classes in Regina. He was so encouraging and fair that I actually looked forward to his visits to my classroom. Mr. Braun impacted so many lives in his career, and I know he will be remembered with great respect by all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

We are so sad to hear of Mr Braun’s passing… he was truly a man who loved his family and God and was an example of leadership and kindness to everyone who knew him. Thinking of the family as they mourn and remember his life.

I'm so sorry to hear that Henry has passed. I was his personal assistant in about 1976 when he was Principal at Cochrane High School. Many was the time that I observed how fairly he treated everyone, whether student, teacher, or staff. He always listened intently to be sure to understand the problem, which was enough to calm many a situation. He was a wonderful boss and I consider myself lucky to have known him. My condolences to his family and friends.

I will forever be grateful for the role Mr. Braun, one of my "adopted dads" played in my teenage life. I loved him and will remember him fondly. Hugs to his family.

There is a story that is regularly circulated in our family about how Uncle Henry presented me with my first moral quandary. I was quite young but had already grown very fond of Smarties. Upon receiving a box, Uncle Henry asked if I would share a given number from the box. I was happy to share and started counting, but as I counted, I started to realize that the number he'd asked for would leave me with very few. What was I to do? I had promised, and I wanted to share, but I also really liked Smarties. I kept counting though, because I thought it was more important to keep my promise. Fortunately, Uncle Henry took pity on me and reduced his original number significantly, allowing me to retain more than the few that otherwise would have been mine. It may not have been his intent to test my moral reasoning, but it is a lesson that I and my family remember fondly whenever we think of Henry Braun. We will miss you.
