I’m sorry for your loss… The number of times that I slept over, the number of times that I ate with him and his family. We spent so many hours playing video games or watched movies/anime. This all feels so surreal. I remember going over to his house and pretending to be our favourite marvel characters, the birthday party in the camper (where we were perhaps a little too rambunctious), being partners in math, French and numerous other classes. There was the science fair project we did about fireworks which was the highest science fair project mark I ever got. I bought my first computer from him/his family (I think it was a 386 with a 5-1/4 floppy drive). That time we went to church together. The time there was a snow day and there must have been 10 of us at his house that day. I remember him talking about stocks, him playing the French horn, playing basketball, taking karate and his old car that he hated… it left us at the side of the road once. As I sit and think about Robert more and more memories pop up. All of those memories are good and positive ones. Growing up was a very difficult time for me but getting to grow up with Robert definitely made that experience much brighter. I am grateful for him helping me through this time. I am grateful to have been a part of the first 20 years of his life. I’m sorry we didn’t get to spend more time together. I am sorry that I am unable to be there in person. Kevin Werner
