Dear Lois and Family,
Gary and I were so sad to read that Wayne has died. He and I shared a cancer journey together. Visiting Wayne in the hospital was both sombre and uplifting. He was strong, kind and we shared stories about our families. Wayne spoke so highly of you, Lois, and his family. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Wayne was a childhood friend of my fathers, Doug Coult, who passed away four years ago. My Dad always talked very highly of Wayne, not only as young boys growing up in Regina, but also as a grown friend and also as a business person. Dad also shared Wayne’s passion for jazz and sports.
Wayne as his childhood buddies; Al Coult, Ernie Pappas, Red, and my Dad are now together once again and are surely playing baseball on the sandlot, like they did as young men in the mid-fifties, listening to Oscar Pettersen, Sonny Stitts, Ray Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, and all their favourites.

Wayne was a friend for 50+ years.
I was one of many that would visit Wayne to swap stories at his store and we played slo pitch together on the Grothe-Barber team.
Hope and I were fortunate enough to have had a good visit with Wayne just a few weeks ago in the Southland Mall.
As always there was never enough time to hear all his stories and the woes of the Roughriders.
