Condolences to Lawrence's family. My dad, Bill Thompson, and Lawrence went way back 50years or more. Dad and Lawrence were quite a duo and had plenty of fun times. Both were old Sask Power boys, dad a lineman and Lawrence a Gas Man. Dad always chuckled when the two got together. As a boy I always looked forward to a visit to Lawrence's home on McTavish Street and I was always fascinated by the big landlocked boat in the driveway that NEVER found water for 20 years as i recall. Spent many hours playing in that boat while dad and Lawrence enjoyed a refreshment at the dinner table and talked Saskpower news and politics and the usual BS that two pals always share when they get together. Ironically it was just in April that dad and I spent some time discussing "ol Lawrence" and reminiscing the laughs he gave my dad. Lawrence was friendly and very likeable. One of my dads favorite memories of Lawrence was the time many many years ago when Lawrence somehow found himself at a wedding reception in a Saskatoon hotel and not knowing a soul, proceeded to spend a fun evening with the bride and grooms family and friends after an invitation to stay. That's Lawrence. Likeable and lovable. I know my dad, Bill, tonite is remembering Lawrence and also raising a glass in his honor as well.
Thanks for all the laughs and all the memories Lawrence. You're a good man and one-of-a-kind too. Rest in peace.

Our Condolences to you, Marilyn & Family:
Lawrence was a guy that you could immediately like. I worked with Lawrence at Sask Power Corp in the Gas Production and Transmission Area for many years. Lawrence was a born mechanic at heart, he knew how to repair and tune up most any vehicle. I remember spending time at his home garage with my cars, and I always went away happy. Lawrence never knew how to charge for his work .......... it was very hard to pay him for his kind help. Later on in our retirement years, it was always nice to run into Lawrence having a cup of coffee and visiting with friends at the old A/W on South Albert Street. He was truly a gentle man and will be missed by many.
Walter & Gail Euteneier.
