John and I were fortunate to find each other relatively late in life and were partners off and on for the most part of seven years. John always amazed me with his expertise in so many different things - like auto restoration, beer making, gardening, sourdough bread making, as well as his abilities as a musician and artist. He graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from the UofR under Jack Sures, disappointing his father who had wanted him to be an engineer. He loved music and started in his first band in Preeceville SK when he was 13. His father was the town doctor in Preeceville but he started a poultry operation on the side, which John also worked for. After his parents moved to the states John travelled to Sacramento, California for many years to help build houses for the family business. He also bought houses in Regina and fixed them up as rentals, providing hundreds of people with affordable housing over the years. Above all he loved his children, Carmin and Evan and was thrilled to become a grandpa to Jacqueline, Casey and Daniel. Goodbye John XX Susan
