Being on the "Tony Team" at GB was the best. No programming challenge too big or small; he was kind and supportive while
managing it all. He was a very special person who contributed much to RPL and will be sorely missed.
Sincere condolences to Donna-Lynn and family.

I worked with Tony on a Library initiative many years ago and always appreciated his good humour and supportiveness. Whenever I saw him at RPL he always had a ready smile and was interested in catching up. My deepest condolences to Tony’s loved ones. He was such a great person and losing him is a real loss for our community.

As a Dudley family friend, I would sometimes show up at the Dudley/Neal residence unannounced. This day, Tony had the house all to himself and was curled up in a big chair with a book. We hadn't talked much before this, other than the usual social pleasantries, but he set aside his book and graciously invited me in. We spent the next few hours in delightful, stimulating conversation, getting to know each other, laughing loud, revelling in our shared interests and exploring philosophical nonsense! I'm choked up reading all these wonderful descriptions of Tony that others have left. Above all, Tony was always a true gentleman.
So long.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Tony’s sudden passing. He was a joy to work with at the Reference desk at RPL and a great boss. He had so many interests and was enthusiastic about all of them. He was kind and helpful. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to Donna-Lynn and family.

I always enjoyed it when I ran into Tony at the library, and would make time to stop and have a good chat. He always had an insight into the goings-on, accompanied by his wry smile. People always asked me if I preferred to be called Tony, but there was only one Tony at RPL. He will be sorely missed, and my thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Tony's wife and family. I got to know Tony through the Bothwell branch. I am the librarian at Regina Christian School. Tony visited our school a few times to promote the RPL, get library cards organized for our students and explain to students how they can be apart of the RPL. I so appreciated his professionalism and his willing heart to be involved in our school. He was always a phone call away if I needed any help. I will miss him.

We unfortunately had only a couple of visits with Tony. We were looking forward to spending more time with him and Donna Lynn when we are in Regina.
I remember his story of Mookie wandering up and sitting in his lap saying, "I'm ready to go home now". Mookie knew a great guy when he saw him.
My condolences to Donna Lynn and Tony's family.
Hugs, Ruth and Matt Page

Tony Baloney I will miss you bro! I want to share a few memories and have been considering which memories are best. Should it be the time Tony and a friend posed as stereo retailers and bamboozled their way into the VIP area at a Las Vegas Audiophile Trade Show or how aggravating it was to have him always outshine us with his creativity at our annual family joke gift Christmas exchange? Nope not these memories instead I will share the following stories:
When we were children we were each assigned a Saturday morning chore. Tony's chore was poop-scooping the gifts our family dog Snoopy left in the backyard. Tony convinced his friends to help with this weekly chore. Two or three of his friends would hold open the garbage bag then follow Tony around the yard as he deposited Snoopy's gifts into the bag. The amazing thing is Tony's assistants are still his friends to the present day.
I will never own a pair of canvas sneakers as Tony traumatized all of us every summer with this style of footwear. We would head to the cottage and Tony would wear the same T-shirt, swimming trunks and canvas sneakers the entire duration of our stay. Every morning was like watching the movie Groundhog Day when Tony crawled out of bed. He wore those canvas sneakers in the water and out of the water so they never dried. The T-shirt and swim trunks would dry, or partially dry, during the night but not those sneakers. By mid week the canvas sneakers were banned inside the cottage. Tony would either forget, or conveniently choose not to notice, that he had brought the stinky sneakers into the cottage. It wouldn't be long before one of us detected the pungent odour wafting from the damp sneakers. We would literally fall over each other trying to push Tony and/or the shoes out the door. If the shoes were off his feet you didn't dare touch them so we would either kick or use a broom to sweep them outside. It never bothered Tony though. I often wondered how he didn't wind up with some kind of fungal foot rot. Sigh! Brothers.
Cheers Tony! Give Snoopy a hug and please remember to occasionally change your footwear.

I knew Tony through the Bothwell Library and always enjoyed sharing a word or two with him. He had a wonderful way with people and I remember seeing him many times patiently helping people help understand their Ipads and tablets. Professional, courteous, kind, and thoughtful I know he will be greatly missed by his colleagues and the library patrons who looked forward to seeing and talking to him every day. He was indeed a treasure chest of knowledge and support. My condolences to loved ones and family.

What an amazing person, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.... Tony was to all of us! He was a very caring, intelligent, and fun family member! Our family loved Tony very much, and we always enjoyed our relationship with him. When we think of Tony, we think of his intelligence, his quick wit, his genuine personality, his cheerful smile, and his genuine appreciation for the fun things in life, like decorating and celebrating, his affection for animals of all kinds, his backyard movie nights, his interesting renovation projects, his great Christmas CDS that he (and DL) shared as gifts, and most importantly his beautiful heart.
No time on Earth is ever enough to share with someone we love so much, and this sudden loss is enormous. Yet, how blessed we all were to have had Tony in our life. Donna Lynn, Joan, and all those closest to Tony, our hearts ache at this devastating loss. He was family...and will be loved and never forgotten. God Bless...Joyce, Kevin, Kyle & Ellen
