Obituary of Richard Harold Watson

Rick lost his brief battle with Covid-19 on Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents Adella and Dennis Watson, sister Joanne and brother Jack. Rick is survived by siblings Donna Cuthbert (Bob) and George Watson. Absolutely devastated by his loss is his partner of 45 years Sherry Wallace, daughter Danyelle (Leighton) and grandchildren Hazel and Henry Armbruster, and sons Jay (Claire Castle) and Nick (Jessi Nenson).  Rick lived his whole life in Regina. Entirely self-taught, he was a pioneer in the field of computers and built a successful career spanning 35 years as a technical architect. Rick was a man of few words and didn't always have a lot to say but when he spoke the room stopped to listen.  He was keenly intelligent with a quick mind, a sensitive and thoughtful soul with a big heart. He loved computers, Christmas, ice cream, science fiction, the ocean, old movies, travel and most all, his children and grandchildren.  He was so very proud of the adults his children have become. Rick slowed down in recent years but was able to enjoy life and the joys of his family right up to the time Covid-19 took him. He lived a life with no regrets, except for wanting more time which he could not have.
