I am truly saddened by the news. Rick and I had become quite close collogues and friends. I owe him a debt of gratitude for his mentorship and support. Sherry, my condolences to you and the family.
I worked with Rick for many years. He taught me so much about UNIX and I’m sure he forgot more than I ever learned.
He made us laugh and we had fun together. This is devastating news and I’m heartbroken
