Obituary of Gary Matlock

Gary Matlock Gary had two sons, Brad and Mark whom were the joy of his life. Sunday, they lost a dear, somewhat crazy and funny man. Gary was born April 30, 1961 to Mary and Walter and was raised at the farm out by Lumsden and spent winters in Regina. For many years he worked for Dairy Producers. Then we tried our luck at running the Craven Country Restaurant & Suites, it was probably the most craziest, funniest time of our lives, thanks Craven! For the last 24 years we’ve owned Hometech Small Appliances & Vacuums where Gary spent the rest of his time helping me. He was the most wonderful companion I could have ever asked for. If you knew Gary, there was always a Schleprock, Garyism or what I called a “Matlock Moment”. Plenty of singing, dancing and great daily fun! As for me, we were inseparable, I was so lucky to have him in my life every day. I now say good bye to my best friend. I love you Muffin! Love Starla. Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Lumsden Centennial Hall, 40 – 3rd Avenue, Lumsden, SK. Donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Regina Branch.
