Obituary of Elmer Tiefenbach

Please share a memory of Elmer to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that Elmer’s family announces his passing on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Maria; brothers George, Jacob, Ralph, Eddy; and sisters Tillie, Olga, Phyllis, Frieda, and Elsie. Elmer is survived by his devoted wife Jean, sons Dean and Darren; brother Eugene; and many nieces and nephews; as well as extended family.

Elmer was born in Regina and raised on a farm near Balgonie. He later joined the R.C.A.F. at the age of 17 and served for 10 years before marrying Jean in 1966 and raising a family in Regina.  Elmer worked for many years at Westank Willock and Advanced Engineering maintaining tanker trailers.   He still managed to find time for his favourite hobbies, curling and fishing.  A Memorial Service  will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at St. James United Church, 4506 Sherwood Drive, Regina, SK. The family would also like to thank the medical professionals who cared for Elmer at the Pasqua Hospital.   Those so wishing, may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society,  1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.  Online messages of condolence may be left at www.paragonfuneralservices.com
