Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Johnston
It is with deepest sorrow, we announce that our beautiful mom, Elizabeth Ann (BeeAnn) Johnston, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019. Her journey home is now complete. She was predeceased by her partner of many years, Tom Kinvig, and her father, Gordon (Bill) Johnston. She leaves behind her mother, Betty Johnston; four children, Callie (Jason), Shellan (Clinton), Ed (Jessie), and Bill (Toriann); brother, Terry (Bettina); six grandchildren, Cameron, William, Aidan, Malcolm, Ewan and Kaliah; and, nieces, nephews and many cousins. Elizabeth married Tom in September 1970 and from that union had four children whom they raised on the family farm just north of Milestone, SK. Elizabeth was very active and coached softball and baseball for several years. If she wasn’t coaching, she was in the stands cheering loudly as she closely followed her family’s various sports and activities. Elizabeth was also a Certified Decorative Artist and travelled around North America in order to further her studies in this area. She was incredibly gifted and created lovely paintings, made exquisite porcelain dolls and decorated her home with the most beautiful things. She volunteered at the school decorating the library for many Christmas seasons, thrilling both staff and student alike. She definitely had a green thumb as her yard, full of vegetable and flower gardens, was the most beautiful around. She bred and raised Himalayan and Persian cats and won many awards in the show circuit with them. She loved travelling and diving deep into adventure. Her wit and charm enchanted everyone. As well, she focused on health and wellness and had a healing practice where she was able to help many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Many thanks to the staff at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, and the ICU and MSU at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. A private, intimate service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2180 23rd Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 0A5.
God Saw You Getting Tired
When God saw you getting tired
He put his arms around you
And whispered come to me.
He didn’t like what you went through
And he gave you rest
His garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
And when he saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain
We wouldn’t wish you back
To suffer that again
Today we say goodbye
And as you take your final rest
That garden must be beautiful
Because you are one of the best.
