Obituary of Justina "Tina" Tecson

Justina went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the age of 65 with her husband, Felix by her side.   Justina was born to Emelia and the late Juan Labor in Malabuyoc, Cebu City, Philippines.   She was predeceased by her first husband George Potoma; and brothers Eddie and Cecil Labor.

Tina will be loved and forever missed by her loving husband Felix Tecson; her son Dante (Jaime); and her two grandsons whom she loved, Tyrese and Tayshon.  She will also be dearly remembered by her siblings Efigenia and children Ian, Charlene (Allen), their children Kaelen, Aiden and Alana, Chanolita (Michael), their children Nevaeh, Natasha and Christopher; Rolly (Leizl), their children Maria and Calen; Nelson (Karen), their children Angelica, Genesis and Daniela; Ronie (Jovy); and Loreta Tecson; sisters-in-law Lorecil; Maretis Tecson and her children Aprilyn (Kenneth), Diane and Kim; as well as many other family and friends too numerous to mention.

Tina and her son Dante moved to Estevan, SK from the Philippines in 1989 with her first husband   She then met her close friend Lina Hernando.  Lina introduced Tina to the Regina Filipino Community where she now had an extended family.   She worked with three of her closest friends Dinah, Lota and Antoinetta.  She loved and thought of the Israel and Hernando families as her own.  Tina also had a special place in her heart for her dogs that she loved so much.

Tina was a woman of faith and an active member of Christ the King Parish.   A Celebration of Life will be held once family finalizes dates and times.    Tina’s family will also have a private graveside service at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tina’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
