Obituary of Judith Diane Cooper
Judith Diane “Judy” Cooper (nee Miner), passed away peacefully in Regina, SK with her family by her side, on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the age of 75. Judy was born February 11, 1944 in Portage la Prairie, MB to Ray and Lovina (nee Gies). Judy attended school in Tilston, MB and moved to Fairlight, SK, near Moosomin, in 1961. Judy also lived for a period of time in Brandon, MB. Judy was a very artistic and creative person who enjoyed her many crafts, gardening, cooking and making clothes for her children. Everyone enjoyed the family gatherings to get a taste of her cooking and baking. Judy was predeceased by her father and mother; step-father Stan Harrison; sister Marlene and brother-in-law Eddy Harvey; brother-in-law Trevor Cooper; and daughter-in-law Michelle Cooper (nee Bates). Judy leaves to cherish; her husband and love George; sons Kevin, Kerry (Cheryl Schultz-Playter), and Kent (Shelly); daughter Jolene (Todd) Cartwright; grandchildren Chandelle Salm (James), Raegan, Brooke (Aleks), Daniel, Kaitlyn, Vanessa and Ally “Cat”; great-grandson Declan; brother Rick (Brenda) Miner; sisters-in-law Thelma and Pat; as well as a host of other family and friends and neighbors. A Celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK with Judy Beck officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospitals of Regina Foundation (c/o Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit 3A), 225-1874 Scarth Street, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 4B3.
