Obituary of Theresa Reynard

On February 18, 2019, Theresa passed away peacefully at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Cyril; son-in-law, Murray; parents, Albert & Eugenie Collin; and all of her siblings, Laura, Albertina, Marie, Emile & Gerald. She is survived by her children, Shirley (Gordon), Brian (Edna), David (Dawn) & Carol (late Murray); grandchildren, Stephanie (Nick), Janine (Evan), Jessica (Marc), Craig (Courtney) & Megan (Nolan); step-grandchild, Sefrah; and great-grandchildren, Anique, Kieran, Nicholas & Avery. Theresa began her working career as a cook at Fort San. In 1952, she married Cyril Reynard and moved to Regina. After moving to Regina she began working in the kitchen at Wascana Rehab. In 1968 Mom changed careers to a sales clerk at The Bay, retiring after 20 years of service (on the same day as her husband Cyril). During their 60 years of marriage, Mom and Dad enjoyed many annual vacations with the children, visiting relatives across Canada and the USA. When at home, Mom always maintained an open door policy for hosting many social gatherings for family and friends. Once the dinner table was cleared, the competitive card games would begin (Mom always won). After retiring, Mom and Dad enjoyed trips to Europe, Florida, Maritimes, socializing with family and friends, bowling, bingo and playing cards. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia R.C. Parish at 10:30 am, Monday, February 25, 2019, with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan. The family would like to thank the staff on the 2nd floor of Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for the loving care and compassion they showed our mother during her stay.
