Obituary of Caryl Gardiner
In the presence of her loving husband Michael, along with members of her family, Caryl Lee Gardiner (McKechnie) peacefully passed away at Grace Hospice, Regina SK, following a 2 year battle with cancer. Caryl is predeceased by her father, Robert (Bob) McKechnie. She is survived by her husband Michael (Mike), mother Marion McKechnie and brother Hugh McKechnie (Bev). Caryl was born and raised in the Douglas Park area of Regina and attended Douglas Park Public School. Following her graduation from Balfour Technical Collegiate in 1975, Caryl had a career in Secretarial work for the Provincial Government in the Departments of Health, Agriculture and Justice, as well as The London & District Catholic School Board while living in Ontario. Following her retirement, Caryl served as a valuable mentor and volunteer for the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan. A Celebration of Caryl’s Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2018 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan, P.O. Box 305 Regina, SK, S4P 3A1 would be appreciated.
