ESTABROOKS, Mary Louise

June 26, 1936 - January 17, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Lou Estabrooks announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, January 17th at the age of 82. She died at home, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Ralph and Audrey Thorne, her brother Billy and sister Anne. She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Art. She is also survived by daughters Cindy (Howard) Foote; Jill Euteneier; Susan (Jim) Mahoney; son Jeff and son-in-law Richard Euteneier. She had 6 granddaughters, who were the light of her life; Alison (Bryden); Carly (Trevor); Kristin (Luke); Amanda (Andrew); Stephanie (Dante); and Michelle. Her three great grandchildren Madden, Livie and Kingston, brought her immense joy. Mary Lou took pleasure in the simple things in life; baking cookies with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards and board games with family, and watching sports of all kinds. Her favourite sports were anything played by her grandchildren, and her beloved Riders. She was an avid member of the Lakeview Ladies Golf Club, even getting a hole-in-one in her late 70's. Her career was spent with the United Church Conference Office, where she worked for 27 years and made many lifelong friendships. The family would like to thank the 3B Oncology team, the Palliative Home Care team, Dr. Salim and Dr. McMillan for their ongoing support and wonderful care during her courageous battle with leukemia. A celebration of Mary Lou's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those so wishing can make a donation in Mary Lou's memory to Regina Palliative Care Inc., Canadian Blood Services, or to a charity of their choice.
