It was with sadness that I received the word that Joyce had passed away. I first met Joyce in November 2009 when I started visiting her weekly or biweekly at Cladaugh Manor near my home.
I continued to visit her for almost 4 years.
I think we both enjoyed our talks and special friendship. Sometimes I read scripture from the Bible, sometimes read her stories, and also entries from devotional booklets from church.
Joyce was a sweet, humble person and a true Christian.
I got introduced to Joyce by my friend Gladys Creighton (her sister) who is an organist at my church.
My heart and prayers go out to all of the family.
I'm sure Joyce is at peace in Heaven.
