Alma Doreen Coubrough, passed away peacefully at Sunset Extendicare on August 29/2018, at the age of 80 yrs.

She was born in Bengough, Sask on June 26,1938. Predeceased by husband (Willard Coubrough), parents (Edwin and Annie Hals)(brothers Alvin and Terry)(nephew Eddy Hals),father in-law and mother in-law Earl and Violet Coubrough. Fondly remembered by brothers in-laws and sister in-laws Wayne(Reta)Coubrough,Gloria(Bob)Wilde and Russ(Irene) Coubrough, sons Perry(Dawn) Coubrough, grandchildren Cory(Jill) great grandchildren (Jackson and Caleigh).Darryl(Maria)great grandchildren (Manuela and Nicholas), Dennis Coubrough, grandchildren(Micheal, and Mitchell), daughters Shelley (Marlowe) Halvorson, grandchildren

Jeremy(Petina), Kayla(Andrew) great grandchildren (Nolan, Brennen, Gemma),Robyn(Mark), great grandchildren (Brooke),Pam(Vince)Reimer grandchildren Lacey(Andre)great grandchildren(Amira,Lexxi,Jaxxon), Coty(Tamara) great grandchildren(Trey,Emma,Kaiden,Caleb, Khilece, and Kingston),  Dylan(Danni) great grandchildren(Gabriel and Ariana), foster sister Dorothy Wilson and granddaughter Crystal, special long time friend Albert Pantel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was raised on a ranch in the Big Muddy, and later moved to a homestead in Bengough. Went to school where she excelled in track and field, where she held many records that held for years. After marrying Willy, they relocated several times through his employment, finally settling in Regina, Sask. While raising their family she worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs.Over the years, her hobbies included Powder Puff Stock Car racing, bowling, curling, shuffleboard, camping and gardening. She came from a musical background, and played piano and accordion. After Willy passed on, Alma moved to Lebret where she stayed until her health declined. She then moved to Sunset Extendicare for the next six years until her passing. As per Alma's wishes, no formal service will be held. A family gathering was held August 30, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Thank-you to the staff at Sunset Extendicare for their devoted care of Alma, as well as Paragon Funeral Home for their professional services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
