Obituary of Irene Mae Bushell

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Irene Mae Bushell on June 13, 2018. Irene was predeceased by her husband Archie and daughter Arlis. Irene’s memory will always live on in her daughter Sharon (Ken); sons Darcy and Eldon (Connie); grandchildren Ryan, Amanda (Brad), Tyler (Attalee), Chase (Julie) and Sierra; great grandchildren William, Tia, Lucas and Aubrey-Ella. A private ceremony will be held for family at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.

Irene was born in Wadena, SK on July 19, 1937 to parents Otto and Emily Schau. By the time she was fifteen, she had moved to Kisbey to help her sister Elsie on the farm. It was there that she met Archie by going to the local hockey games. Eventually moving to Regina and getting married on June 28, 1957.

During the next years, her career was focused on being a homemaker and raising four children…Sharon, Darcy, Eldon and Arlis, as well as operating cafeterias and in sales.

Irene had a deep passion for her family. Always concerned for their well being. She also had a few loyal and carefully chosen close friends who she appreciated and cherished. One last passion was her loyalty and love for the Blue Jays – if they were playing on TV, you would never have to wonder what she was occupied with.
