I met June in grade 8 in Prince Albert. There were 4 or 5 of us that chummed around then. Occasionally I would run into her in Saskatoon. She got in touch a few years ago via emails. So sorry that she has left us.

To the family of June -
I met June many years ago like early 1990s, through our involvement with Regina Women's Network. She was a very active member and took on many roles through the years. We ran into each other this past Fall in Walmart and had a great visit while blocking an aisle. I am very sorry for your loss and just wanted to let you know June will be missed by many, many Network friends. She gave the community a lot! Sincerely, Dianna

Dear June
I am gong to miss you - I already do! I will miss our telephone talks and always your
words of advice over the last 56 years. I was only 15 when we met first - boarding a
horse with you and Bob. I loved coming there - you taught me a lot - besides drinking coffee black! You were one of the most honest down to earth people I have ever known.
When asking advice from you - you always called a spade a spade - not a shovel!
This is how I want you to be remembered! For those that did not know you as well as I
had the honor of knowing you - this says it all about you! your worth -ethics -your dedication to your family - your whole moral fiber!
As long as there are people like you who care with all their hearts, the world is still a
place of possibility and hope. As long as there are people like you who reach out and
give with kindness, each day still holds so many special moments. As long as there
are people like you, life will be touched with extra happiness...Because you were
someone who was caring and giving, who reached out to others in warmth and
honesty and understanding, and made people feel so lucky to know you.
Hope you and Bob are having the best time ever!
We will meet again!
Love always!
Mary-Helen

To June's family - my deepest sympathies - June is a neighbor of mine - I guess I'm down the hill from where she lived. I met her golfing and then she was the diabetes captain for the area I canvassed in. I had a nice visit with her when I turned in my canvass material. She talked of the "hot dog" stand and the many other things mentioned in her obituary. I didn't know her well, but I gathered she was a hard working lady all her life - she was a warm and kind person that always had a friendly hello when I saw her. Her smile was genuine - my thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad and difficult time.

YOU WILL BE MISSED MY FRIEND, THERE IS NOW AN EMPTY SPACE IN MY LIFE. KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS, REMEMBERING THE ADVENTURES OF THE LAST 56 YEARS. WE SHARED MANY LAUGHS AND TEARS TOGETHER, THE UPS AND DOWNS OF A RELATIONSHIP THAT NOT MANY GET TO HAVE. SOMETIMES DISTANCE SEPARATED US WHEN I LIVED IN SWIFT CURRENT, SASKATOON OR CUPAR BUT THAT NEVER CHANGED THE FACT THAT WE KNEW WE WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR EACH OTHER. LIKE WHEN BOB DIED AND I CAME RIGHT AWAY AND I TOLD YOU THAT I WOULD BE ALONE AS WELL AND YOUR FIRST RESPONSE WAS, YOU CAN MOVE IN HERE AND WE CAN BE ALONE TOGETHER. WHAT A KIND RESPONSE IN YOUR TIME OF GRIEF. I COULD GO ON WITH SO MANY STORIES, BUT YOU KNOW THEM ALL. I AM GLAD WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE A LAST TRIP TOGETHER TO FOUR BEARS AND GET US MATCHING PINK JACKETS, YOU AND YOUR PINK! I WILL MISS YOU, TILL I SEE YOU AGAIN MY DEAR FRIEND. LOVE SANDRA
