Dear Dan and Shirley and family, I was sorry to hear of the loss of you father, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know that he was proud of the talented family he had they could sing beautifully. Dan told me his dad was an good singer too, what a great thing to pass on to his children along with Angie, played for Dan and Angie many times always enjoyed their sweet voices. Now your dad is singing in heaven in the chorus of the Angels, greeted by them. May he REST IN PEACE and let the perpetual light shine upon him. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

My Dad was a pretty amazing man. I didn't realize how many times I say "my Dad taught me that." I noticed it this weekend and, knowing my Dad's lessons were over, my heart ached again. Rest well, Daddy.

I remember john speaking at Lestock school Remembrance Day service 1966. He said 'look around the room and imagine all the children that wud be here if their fathers had come home from the war.' It impacted me so that I have never forgot that image. So many lives who never had a chance to fulfill their destiny.
