RIGGLE, Terry (Teresa Anne)

September 8, 1959 to January 21, 2018

“I was sitting with Rory at our camper, the summer before he died, and I remember thinking,  surely the sky must be this blue in heaven.”

Terry has passed from this world to join her beloved husband Rory. Although she missed him deeply and dreamed of the day they could be together again, she was content with her life and found fulfillment and even happiness in the details of living.  Tending her flower garden, playing with her cat, maintaining her home and reading were just a few of the  simple pleasures she enjoyed .  Many happy years were spent greeting customers at the Every Little Thing store in Strasbourg.   Then the grandsons started to arrive and she was in love again.  Her simply satisfying life was not to last for long as Terry was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer late in the fall of 2017.  Her faith in the existence of a spiritual  after life allowed her to live and enjoy her final days with her family and friends, to see new sights and to say goodbye. Left to cherish Terry’s memory are the children of her heart Adam Riggle (Ginny), Brandon Riggle (Alicia Burke) and Sheena Riggle (Mike Gee), grandsons Rory and Jack Riggle and Carter and Mason Burke,  her sister Jan Yarshenko (Steve Glass), brother Doug Irvine and many other relatives and friends.  Terry is predeceased by her husband Rory Riggle, parents Gordon and Irene Irvine, nephew Ryan Barber, and brothers-in-law Garth Barber and Johnny Yarshenko. Terry was born in Grenfell, SK and trained as a Library Technician at SIAST in Saskatoon.  She worked for the Government of Saskatchewan before marrying Rory Riggle in 1985. Terry and Rory and their three children made their home in Milestone, SK where Terry became the manager of the Milestone Co-op grocery store. When Regina’s  Molson’s Brewery closed in 2002 they were transferred to Molson’s  in Edmonton, AB where Rory worked until his passing in 2005.  Terry moved back to Saskatchewan, settling in Strasbourg in 2006 and opened Every Little Thing with her sister in 2007.  Terry was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.  She was our rock, the one person who always listened, then fooled you into thinking she had given some great advice, when really, she just let you work it through while she held you up. A Memorial Service will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Elks Hall in Milestone, SK. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice.
