Obituary of Gloria Eileen Chernoff
Gloria Eileen Chernoff (nee Broshko)
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of an amazing woman on September 7, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Gloria was predeceased by her parents Anne and Philip Broshko; brothers John & Bernie Broshko and sisters Kay Landy, Pearl Kreway and Rosie Broshko. She will be loved and remembered forever by her husband Peter; daughter Lisa; sister Olga Antonishyn and family; brother Peter Broshko and family, sisters-inlaw Helen Libner and Rita Broshko and families. Her strong Ukrainian roots were evident as her kitchen always smelled of home-cooked meals. She could be found most often making perogies, cooking and baking. Her generosity and kindness shone through as she gave away most of what she cooked. “Mom” took pride in her work and had an outstanding work ethic as she made many friends throughout her career at First City Trust, CIBC, and Sask. Finance. She persevered with her strong faith and will, creating lasting memories through her spunk and kind personality. Special heart-felt thanks to the outstanding staff at the Regina Pasqua Hospital MSU for your kindness, compassion and genuine care for Gloria throughout her stay with you. PRAYER Service will be held at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 7:00pm. A FUNERAL LITERGY will be held at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00am with lunch to follow immediately. Donations may be made to the St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church as a special item for the church will be purchased in her memory.
