Obituary of Emily Popp
Emily Popp
Emily Popp was born on March 7, 1926 and passed away peacefully at home in her favourite chair on May 31, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1978; parents Jacob and Maria Gottfried; son-in-law Vernon Neisz in 2004 and great grand-daughter Kiera Neisz in 2011. Survived by daughters Sharon Popp, Diana (Wesley) Hovind; grandchildren Leanne (Arodi) Blanco, Gordon (Danielle) Neisz; Andrew (Kimberly) Malcolmson; great grandchildren, Isabela, Camila, Miguel and Josue Blanco; Payton and Dylan Neisz; Tegin, Mason, Presley and Sadie Malcolmson; brothers Jack and John Gottfried. Mom was born in Poland and immigrated to Earl Grey, SK when she was 3 years old. Mom worked very hard at many jobs, the last being a dietary-aid at the Regina General Hospital for 25 years. She loved to crochet and knit and also took great pride in her garden. After Mom retired her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren were the joy of her life. Anytime the great grandchildren were in her presence her whole demeanor changed and her face lift up with joy. Mom, Grandma and Nana will be truly missed by all of us and there is a big hole left in our family that we will fill with memories of her. A Celebration of Mom’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Regina Apostolic Church, 808 Assiniboine Avenue, East, Regina, SK. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
In Loving Memory
