Obituary of Ozzie Slobodian

Ozzie Slobodian December 21, 1935 - March 30, 2017 Ozzie passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the love and comfort of three generations of family. He was predeceased by an infant brother Peter; his parents Magdalena and John Slobodian, Pauline and Mike Stasuik and sister in law, Katie. Ozzie leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce; children Melody (Ovi) and Craig (Tricia); grandchildren, Derrick, Ashley, Blakeney and Mya. He is survived by his brothers Frank (Sylvia), Paul (Natalie), Bill (Breta) and Joe (Shirley); brothers in law Jerry (Joan) and Lloyd (Kathy); numerous nieces and nephews, as well as friends and coworkers. Ozzie was a proud and dedicated member of the Trimac team from May 13, 1963 until Dec. 31, 2000 enjoying the many rewards that came with hard work and millions of miles on the road. According to Ozzie's wishes there will be no formal funeral service following his cremation. A celebration of his life and interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on Ward 3D at the Pasqua Hospital for their compassion and care given to Ozzie and those who constantly surrounded him.
