Andrew Valentine Helmeczi
February 12, 1924 – March 20, 2017
Andrew passed away peacefully at Wascana Rehab Centre at the age of 93. Andrew’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 67 years Magdalen; his children Chester (Adele), Janet (Brian), Bertha (Brian), Thomas (Laurie), Christopher (Sara) and Margaret; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; siblings Paul, Laddie, Sarah and Mary as well as many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Margaret; stepmother Mary and 10 siblings. Prayers will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Ave., Regina, SK with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Little Flower R.C. Church with Fr. Jose Periyilkatte as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew’s memory may be made to Prostate Cancer Canada, 2 Lombard Street, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON M5C 1M1.
