Obituary of Maryanne Elizabeth Freoschl

Maryanne Elizabeth Freoschl On February 5, 2017 Maryanne Elizabeth (nee Machalek) born May 10, 1932 was reunited with her husband John of 60 years, whom she missed immensely since his passing in 2012. She was also predeceased by her parents, Julius and Francis Machalek, her brother John and other beloved relatives and in-laws. Maryanne was very proud of her family and never missed an opportunity to let anyone know that we now numbered 35. Mom and Dad's home was always a welcoming place to indulge in a tasty meal and enjoy one another's company. Maryanne regularly played Bunco for over 40 years and was always up to 'win a little change' whether it be Cribbage, 31 or Rummy. She, along with her husband, was very active in the German Club where she participated in the Frauen Verein, German Choir, Karnevalgesselschaft Harmonie and Mosaic. She travelled extensively, enjoying many sights. Maryanne was born and raised in Regina and lived periodically in Moose Jaw. Maryanne is survived by her four children - Lynda Galbraith (Lawrence) and children Kristopher (Colleen, son Bobby) and Todd (Kristy, son Ryder, daughters Peyton & Britynn) - Robert John Freoschl and son Cody - Lora Landry (Marc) and children Jordan (Carla, daughters Chloe and Sidney), Michael (Catherine and daughters Caitlyn and Cara), David (Bree) and Julius (Cori) - Lisa Brown (Conor) and children, Travis, Shelby and Madison (Jamie). She is also survived by her brother Jules (Lois) Machalek and her two sisters-in-law who reside in Germany, Marille Hillmeier and Fanni Froschl along with numerous nieces and nephews. This past year had been a trying one for mom as her health deteriorated. Special Thanks goes out to College Park II, William Booth Special Care Home, Helping Hands Care Home and Dr. Joanne McLeod who paved the way to her peaceful end. Maryanne was very fortunate to receive extensive and outstanding care in both the Regina General and Pasqua Hospitals. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Mom's life will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. Cecilia's Parish, 5020 7th Ave., Regina, SK with Fr. John Weckend as Celebrant.
