Obituary of Alexander Krushelnicki

Alexander “Alex” Krushelnicki
Alex passed away peacefully on January 10, 2017. Born to Alexius and Paraska (nee Stefankiw) Krushelnicki in 1926 in the Hubbard district. Alex was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth; parents Alexius and Paraska; step brothers John, Joe and Mike; step sister Mary; brothers Philip, Walter, Nick, Bronie “Alf” and Peter; sister Carol. He is survived by his sisters Emily in B.C. and Katie in Ituna, SK as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Alex worked in Simpson then in McLeod as a hardware manager as well as a manager at Chuck Furniture. He retired in 1984. He went to Rome and Sicily in 1979. In 1981 Elizabeth and Alex went to Trinidad and Tobago and that is the year they got married. They also went on trips to small cities and towns. Alex and Elizabeth liked gardening. His hobby was collecting license plates – he had over 2100 from 1917 to 2000. Alex also played a button accordion with his loving wife Elizabeth while having a cool one with friends. They celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at St. Anthanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Ave., Regina, SK. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Antanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church with Fr. Basil Malowany as Celebrant. Interment will take place at Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alex’s memory can be made to Wascana Grace Hospice, 2925 Reilly Ave., Regina, SK, S4R 0P4
