Obituary of Olivia Amanda Kasick

Olivia Amanda Kasick 1920 – 2016 Olivia’s parents Lars & Olina Roset immigrated to Canada from Norway in 1913. She was born May 14, 1920 on their homestead North of Herbert, SK. At an early age she followed employment opportunities to Regina where she fell in love with Victor Kasick. They married & eventually took up residence on the 1800 block of Forget St. where they built a house and raised 3 sons Ron, Doug, & Allan. Olivia lived in her house for over 50 years until moving to Regina Village where she enjoyed another 17 years. Mom will be remembered for her loyalty & devotion to her sons and her unconditional love to her family and friends. She always maintained a steady communication with her faith which taught her to love and be loved. She was always active and participated in her church and community and enjoyed a full life in Regina. She will be sorely missed by her “boys” Ron (Dorothy), Doug (Bev), & Al (Michelle). There are numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends who regularly felt Mom’s affection through visits and phone calls. She was thankful. She passed away surprisingly on December 21, 2016, but not before mailing all her Christmas cards and wrapping all her presents. The night before she passed she said what a wonderful life it is, she has everything, what more could I want? She was always proud of her heritage, her rural roots, and her faith and her family. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Central Lutheran Church, 2625 12th Ave., Regina, SK with Pastor Jeff Tank officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Lutheran Church.
