Obituary of Elaine Lorna Armstrong

Elaine Lorna Armstrong (nee Plumb) January 31, 1948 - November 16, 2016 Elaine was born to John and Norah Plumb on January 31, 1948. She was the oldest of four children. She was predeceased by her parents, Johnny and Norah Plumb; father and mother in law Gordon and Marvel Armstrong; brothers in law Larry, Jim, Les, Jerald, Bob and Martin Armstrong, Leonard Rutledge; sisters in law Joyce Cain, Joanne Armstrong and Ruth Armstrong; nephew Jeff Armstrong and Niece Kerry-Ann Plumb. Elaine is survived by her loving husband Neil of 48 years; son John (Erica) Armstrong; grandsons Andrew (Brittney), Tyler (Sarah) Armstrong and great grandson Sawyer; sisters Bev (Charles) Armstrong, Joyce (Angus) Lee; brother Ted (Angie) Plumb; brothers in law Marvin and Charles Armstrong; sisters in law Joan Rutledge and Bev Armstrong as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was passionate about heart and cancer research. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Balgonie Multiplex Hall, Balgonie, SK. Elaine’s wishes was to have a time of celebration with a potluck lunch to follow. Come share your memories and reminisce with family and friends of a great lady. Interment will be held at a later date.
