Obituary of Giovanni Ampelio Trevisan

Giovanni Ampelio Trevisan Giovanni passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the age of 91. Giovanni will be lovingly remembered by his wife Giannina and their three daughters Rosanna (Bill) Thompson; Gabriella (Wayne) UnRuh; Daniella (Stacey) Kulcsar; seven grandchildren, Sierra, Brandon, Rachel, Taylor, Lauren, Brett and Tyler; and numerous relatives in Italy including his sisters Odilla and Santina and brother Aquilino. He was met with open arms by his parents Ricardo and Virginia and brothers Angelo, Delfino and Domenico. Giovanni was born on June 12, 1925, in Rossano, Veneto, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1956. Soon after, he was joined by his fiancé, Giannina and they married on September 28, 1957. They recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Giovanni worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. He was a kind and quiet man who spoke volumes through his beautiful smile. We will miss him more than words can say. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team and Dr. Datta for their special care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. A Funeral Mass celebrating Giovanni’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK.
