Mary Ann Poitras March 31, 1923 – October 23, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our matriarch Mary Ann Poitras. Mary Ann passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her first husband Roy Banman and her second husband and soulmate Morris Poitras; sons, Timothy and Lionel; daughters, Leona and Lila and grandson Armend; son-in-law Doug. Mary Ann is survived by sons Leebert (Lisa), Lorry (Darlene), Lance; daughters Lorene (Rod) and Lola. Morris and Mary Ann lovingly raised three grandchildren, Lisa, Lila and Craig. She will be missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was blessed and proud to have many five generation babies. Mary Ann loved to have family gatherings at all the holidays and a family reunion every summer. She enjoyed making and selling her crafts at the Fort Qu’Appelle farmers market up to two years ago. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Parish, 425 Broad St. N., Regina, SK with the Funeral Mass being held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the same location with Rev. Peter Nguyen as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
