Obituary of Marjorie MacLean

Please share a memory of Marjorie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marjorie (Marj) Olive MacLean March 22, 1948 – October 18, 2016 The family of Marj MacLean (Dupuis) is saddened to announce the loss of her precious life on October 18, 2016. After a brave, hard fought and tiring battle with ALS, Marj left this life surrounded by family and friends. Marj was predeceased by her parents Meril and Pat Dupuis and her sister Yvonne (Demar) Heebner. She leaves behind her loving husband Ross MacLean, two sons Bob (Wanda) MacLean and Bruce MacLean (Dawn Schmidt). Her greatest struggle was leaving behind her two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Cole MacLean. Also left to mourn are her brothers Ron (Bonnie) Dupuis, Bob (Linda) Dupuis, Terry (Lorraine) Dupuis, her sisters Marie (Albert) Esmay, Phyllis (Lionel) Debuc and their families. Marj also leaves her extended family and so many dear friends. Finally, there is Buckley, her faithful furry friend who would sit by her side for hours when she wasn’t feeling well. Marj worked in the banking industry for more than 40 years. Although she retired, her love for people kept her working on contract until she was unable to any longer. She loved helping people and until the end insisted on people not helping her. On September 17th, she participated in a 5km walk in support of ALS. Never one to back down from a challenge, she chose to walk 5km instead of 1 or 3. Marj loved her grandchildren and took great pride in watching them in their activities and speaking about their academic success. Marj loved to read the bible and attend church. She loved to speak about Jesus, and was both nervous and excited to be going home. Special thanks to Bruce who alongside Ross, took on the role as his mom’s main caregiver. To know her, truly was to love her. The Celebration of Marj’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Regina Apostolic Church, 808 Assiniboine Ave. E., Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Regina Apostolic Church (Next Generation Fund).
