Joseph Allen Sugar

December 22, 1948 – November 15, 2024

We are sad to announce the passing of Allen Sugar, age 75, born December 22, 1948, and passed away November 15, 2024. He will be remembered as a free soul who lived his life happy about the little things, like eating candy and his favourite food, KFC. Allen was loved and cherished by his family. As a younger man, he climbed the Piapot hills and loved to raid his mom’s garden.

Allen was predeceased by his mother Maria Sugar; brothers Joe, William (Ruby) and Russel, plus three brothers in infancy; and sister Matilda (Calvin) George. Allen is survived by his nieces Cheryl Sugar, Noreen (Bill) George and Shelley George; nephew Steven George; as well as many grandchildren and extended family. We would like to thank the staff at Luther Home in Saskatoon for the excellent care he received throughout the years. Many thanks to Chief Mark Fox and the staff of Piapot First Nation for all your help. Harry Francis, we thank you to for taking the time to visit Allen and for officiating the service.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Piapot Band Hall, Piapot First Nation, Saskatchewan, with interment to follow at Sugar Family Cemetery.
