I was a teacher at Greenall School when Bonnie worked in the school office. One could always depend
on her to help solve problems or give sound advice for
particular situations. Bonnie was an amazing lady who
was a blessing to all the people she encountered. My condolences to the family.

My Aunt Bonnie was larger than life in my eyes. As a little girl I was awestruck of her horse skills and wanted to learn to ride like her. I remember having a conversation one time with her about being in the loop and she exclaimed, “I am the loop, Cara!” She definitely was the loop! I admired her strong character and how she never seemed to be afraid of anything. Rest in peace Aunt Bonnie.

It felt so lovely to see Bonnie’s face smiling at me today from my facebook feed! ❤️
To her dear family… may she visit you often in your dreams, in a butterfly or dragonfly flitting by, in the smell of a barn, the whinny of a horse and in the sunshine glinting off of the lake.
Bonnie was the secretary at Greenall during my high school years & she always had a smile on her face to greet all of us kids every single day!
I was dating her nephew, Dale… so I think she took a little extra care of me. She would often call down to the cafe telling me that the vice principal, Mr. Kowalchuk was looking for me “so I better get my ass back to school.”
During my grade 12 year I was driving back & forth from Moose Jaw several times a week and the weather would often change dramatically right at the overpass at Belle Plaine. Bonnie kept me out of more snowstorms than I can count.
It would be a sunny beautiful winter day in Moose Jaw & just as I was about to jump into the car… the phone would ring and Bonnie would be on the other end, telling me to stay home because it was storming (as she called it) “on the other side.”
She was my guardian angel… keeping me safe & out of as much trouble as she could.
Bonnie was also part of my 1st and only car accident. I borrowed a car from a friend’s boyfriend to drive Dale home and as we approached the stop sign in Balgonie the brakes failed & it slid right through the intersection… T-boning the back passenger door of Dale’s dad’s car! Brian was driving and Bonnie was in the passenger seat.
She would have been seriously hurt if the cars had collided a second sooner & instead of being scared or upset… all I remember was her being so concerned that I was alright. She gave me a big hug & told me everything was going to be fine… no one was hurt & the cars could be fixed. I remember marvelling at how un-flappable she was!
Bonnie… Thank you for being a part of my life. I cherish the memories! May your energy flow and be free to play with your great grandkids, ride through the fields, sit around bonfires and laugh your fantastic laugh. You are a beautiful being whether your feet are on the earth or your energy is in the heavens!
Much love, ❤️

The first time I saw cousin Bonnie was when I was eight or nine. We had driven to Nut Mountain to visit Mary, Amos and the family. I was standing by the car when up walked a tall, beautiful, long haired, blond cowgirl wearing blue jeans, cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat. At least that is how I remember it in my minds eye.
In those day, my role models and heros were Dale Evans and Annie Oakley. There is a picture somewhere of me dressed in my Dale Evans outfit carrying my Dale Evans lunch kit on my first day of school. I remember Yvonne and Aunt Loretta trying to talk me into wearing some nice school clothes.
So when I saw Bonnie walking toward the car I was mesmerized. To me she was a cowgirl goddess. And that is how I have always thought of her. She’s such a special person.

Cousin Bonnie will be missed but never forgotten. I never saw her without that beautiful smile and those sparkling, mischievous eyes. She was a true beauty inside and out.

I’m really sorry to hear of your mom’s passing Kelly. She and your dad were great neighbors that my mom and dad enjoyed, lots of “over the fence” visiting. Please pass my condolences on to your dad and sisters and keep your good memories close to your heart. Talk to your kids and grandkids about her often, it’s such a good way to cherish her memory.

I have many fond memories of time spent at Nut Mountain, in my younger years. As I moved to B.C. after getting married, I still was able to see Bonnie and Calvin when we were both in Arizona as well as at family reunions. The last one being in Regina three years ago and it was so nice that Bonnie was having a good day and was able to come to it. She has been taken far too soon but I know she is in good hands and at peace. Our condolences to all whose hearts she touched and especially her very large family.

Sincere condolences to Cal, the girls and their families. Bonnie was my 2nd mom during childhood. I stayed there after sports when they lived in town. When they became our neighbours at Jameson I was one of the family. We spend almost every weekend together “horsing around”. I was very blessed to have Bonnie in my life. I only have good memories and I truly was one of the family. RIP Bonnie.
