I was shocked and so sad when I recently heard of Colleen's sudden passing. My deepest sympathies to Mitch and the rest of the family in this extremely difficult time.
Growing up around Colleen, I always remember her being so calm, rational, easy to talk to...and so stylish! She had this commanding type of presence about her that always radiated positivity and drew attention whenever she was in a room. At all the events they attended, I still recall the images in my mind of her and Mitch being out on the dance floor (usually first)...totally in sync and just living in their moment together! I remember her as someone who always lived life to the fullest and helped others around her to do the same. It was second nature for her to make sure others around her felt comfortable, safe and appreciated. She was such a stable and nurturing figure in so many peoples lives over the years. Her absence will undoubtedly leave a massive void in many peoples lives for a very long time.

Dear Mitch and family,
I didn’t know Colleen well but whenever I met her either at my place of business or when Mitch and Colleen would stop for a visit from the Church she was happy and sincere.
I was shocked when Helen S told me that she passed.

Mitch and family. We want to express our deepest sympathy in your loss. Losing our loved one is one of the hardest, painful things we have to face. May the promises Jehovah sets before us and the love of your family and friends help you to look to our future with confidence. With our love.

My dear friends Mitch, Chad and family and Tanzi and Chris. What a beautiful memorial you have written. How it has captured the essence of your beautiful wife, mother and grandmother. Our Colleen, because you shared her with many!
Alan and I moved to Regina in 2000 and were in Rochdale Congregation. My very first time out in service was with Colleen and although I was completely intimidated because she was so beautiful, her kindness overwhelmed me and we became fast friends. The first time Mitch and Colleen came for supper, they suggested we renovate our place and that's just what we did. They worked hard with us and Colleen and I built up a sweat that only a rye managed to quench. I have enjoyed many a rye and good conversation with that girl! And I have bought many a gadget based on our mutual conversations! LOL! What a blessing Mitchell you both have been in our life.
I remember Roy Hale telling me to take a call on a certain restaurant because I was hoity toity and me saying, I'm hoity toity, Colleen is hoity toity because she was so beautiful! LOL! But we all knew she wasn't, she was just a genuinely kind and caring person, loved by all who knew her. I loved service with her, trying to break the ice and reach people.
Some people although they do not try to do anything special, in the way they live their lives, they become very special to many. Her humility, her kindness, her elegance, her friendship, her humor that was Colleen and she was special.
Colleen was my dearest friend, I have no words to express the loss I feel, only words to remember the wonderful person that she is. I will carry her advice in my head and my memories with me in my heart. This is a hard loss to bear, but bear it we must. But Jehovah says just a little while and this will all be different. So my dear friends, keep enduring, trust Jehovah and soon our precious Colleen will be back. And we will never lose her again. My prayers are with you. May Jehovah strengthen and comfort you all until there is no more need of tears of sorrow. Much love to you all. Shelley Molander.
