Obituary of Claire Helen Keil

Please share a memory of Claire to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

A beautiful heart stopped beating on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Mom was born October 2, 1930 on a farm near Keystown, SK. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Elizabeth Thurm; brothers, Norman, Paul, Walter, Albert, Nelson and Roy; sister Ann; infant son Leonard in 1964 and son-in-law Wally 2022. She will be loved and remembered by her daughter Lynda; son Brad; grandchildren Jennifer (Brian), Stephanie (Jeremy), Justin (Mariah) and Gage; great-grandchildren, Melia and Ivy, Olivia and Jorja, and April; sister-in-law Phyllis Thurm; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mom’s love and care for her family was immeasurable.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.  For many years, Mom selflessly gave up her time and energy to provide the very best for her family.

Mom enjoyed a lifetime filled with a love of music, social dancing, tending to her flowers, her fine “feathered” friends, and many close friends that have gone before her.  She treasured family get-togethers and always found strength in her faith.  Mom always had an interest in and kept up-to-date on news and world events.  She had thoughtful opinions and shared them freely.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Unit 3-5, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, for their care and compassion. A private family Celebration of Mom’s life to follow at a later date.
