Obituary of Darren Bruce Austin

We were sorry but not totally surprised to get news of my nephew, Darren Austin, passing away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, just a few days short of his 59^th birthday. He was dealing with health issues for the past two years after suffering a major stroke.  He fought a good fight for those two years but lost the battle.

 

Darren was predeceased by his mother, Dianne Austin; his father Bruce Austin as well as his grandparents Ralph and Bernice Austin,  and Pat and Thelma Baldock. 

 

He is survived by brothers Jason (Shelby) and children Jack and Charlotte; Kyle (Jesse) and Parker; and Cody; aunt and uncle Norma and Tom Foster and their family; as well as many Austin aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves many friends including Ernie Randall and Murray Waldner who were so helpful to us in looking after Darren and his affairs. 

 

Darren grew up in Belle Plaine and Moose Jaw going to school in both places.  He had a natural aptitude for mechanics and all that goes with that as a profession. His ability will be missed by those who knew him.

 

Honouring Darren’s request, there will be no funeral service.
