Obituary of Marisa Shandi-Rose Desnomie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marisa Shandi-Rose Desnomie, late of Regina, SK on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the age of 21. Marisa was predeceased by her mother Clarice Kahnapace; grandparents Bill and Anne Racette, mushoom Marty Bear and uncle Perry. She is survived by her son Matthias Desnomie; father Martin Desnomie Jr.; kokum Shirley Desnomie; sisters Nicole, Trinity, Alex, Misti, Madison and Angelina; nieces Harmony and Cleopatra; and nephew Maliki. She will also be missed by aunties Sherryann, Crystal, Priscilla and uncle Gop. Marisa had a special bond with her cousins Montana, Katlyn, Savannah, Presley, William, Jamal, Marcel, Lexus, Prudence and Caleb who she cared for deeply. Marisa loved her son, her family, music and gaming. She will be remembered for her kind heart, willingness to be there for anyone who needed her and her amazing confidence and style. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Marisa who struggled with mental health and depression, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association -  Saskatchewan Division, 2702 12th Avenue

The Wake will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in the Peepeekisis Pesakastew School Gym, Peepeekisis Cree Nation, SK followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.  Interment will take place in the Peepeekisis R.C. Cemetery.
