Obituary of Russell William Knutson

It is with sadness that the family of Russell William Knutson announce his passing on July 12, 2024 at the age of 74 at Regina General Hospital. Russell was born in Mankota on April 23,1950.  He went to high school at Glentworth High School and then Western Christian College and graduated in 1969. Russell went on to complete a Diploma in Accounting and Administration by attending business school and night courses at University of Regina. He worked for more than thirty years for the Province of Saskatchewan, most of it as a public trustee.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, gatherings with people, camping, and cars. Russell was a strong, faithful Christian and attended Church of Christ for his entire life.

Russell is survived by his wife Glenda; brothers Alfred (Helen), Vernon (Colleen) and Carmen (Ann); sister Madeline (Ron) Cutting; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Edna Knutson; and sister-in-law Victoria Knutson.

A Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Paragon Funeral Services, 521 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK. A Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK followed by a Celebration of Russell’s Life at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Elm Church of Christ, 1825 Rothwell Street, Regina, SK with Leslie Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
